Meet Our Partners

LTBLI’s solar programming relies on partnerships with trusted local NGOs demonstrating a deep and clear commitment to poverty alleviation and climate action. Together, we develop and implement solar projects, refine our practices, collect replicable data and shine a light on vulnerable, off-grid communities.

Core Partners

Past Partners include Pacemaker International in Kenya and Far Away Friends in the Amolatar District of Uganda.

Solar Partnership Graduates

LTBLI has three core missions – to solar-electrify off-grid frontline health clinics; to donate safe solar lights to vulnerable off-grid homes; and to raise awareness about the importance of including basic energy access in social safety-net programming, anti-poverty efforts, and climate mitigation efforts. We are proud to announce the first successful graduate of our Solar Partnership programming.

Rubens Mukunzi

Kisoro Elders Project

The Kisoro Elders Project partnered with Let There Be Light International from 2018-2025 in Western Uganda. 1050 elders living in off-grid homes received solar lights through our projects. The Kisoro Elders Project successfully adopted an energy-access perspective and includes solar lights in their projects. A core component of LTBLI’s model is to enable other nonprofits to adopt (and adapt) our programming to reach more people. Bravo!

Let’s shine on, together!

100% of donations support communities without energy access by providing light to vulnerable families and off-grid health clinics.
