“Climate change is the most critical issue facing our generation and doing nothing isn’t an option anymore.” – Sebastian, Montreal
“The climate crisis is an urgent, all-encompassing issue! This is why I work with Greenpeace at my university, and why I will participate in the Climate Strike.”
“Working at my university’s sustainability office has help me learn more about the effects of climate change on our local and international community. We need more people working on the institutional level of influence to make changes to mitigate the effects of climate change worldwide.” – Miranda
“Raising awareness of climate change is important to me because it has impacted my home in Florida. In under five years, I have evacuated from my town many times due to hurricanes.” – Katya
Solar lights are changing lives and you can too. Students can now join Let There Be Light International as we donate solar lights to vulnerable students in off-grid communities in sub-Saharan Africa. Students living in energy poverty often struggle to study without safe lights. Many students have experienced burns or house fires and even have had their books go up in flames when using kerosene lamps for light at home. That’s why S.O.S focuses on students and the power we have to change the world when we Shine On together.
If you are a representative of a student organization, you can fill out the form below to express your interest in joining S.O.S. The S.O.S team will get back to you within 24 hours!
